FaZe Clan and Atlanta Esports Ventures announced a partnership on Saturday, October 26 that resulted in the creation of Atlanta FaZe, one of the 12 international franchises that will compete in the inaugural Call of Duty League season.

Since making waves on Youtube back in 2010, FaZe has grown to become one of the most successful gaming organizations in the world. Besides Call of Duty esports, the firm now has teams competing in CS:GO, PUBG, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, FIFA and Fortnite.

This week’s announcement confirmed Atlanta FaZe will sport the organization’s signature black, red and white colors, with the team’s logo slightly altered into a combination of A and F to incorporate both ‘Atlanta’ and ‘Faze’.

James “Crowder” Crowder is the head coach, with Richard “RJ” Simoncelli as assistant coach and Austin “Easy Mac” O’Neil as team analyst.

With the Florida Mutineers also confirmed for CDL 2020, there are now eight teams locked in for the inaugural campaign.

The others are the Dallas Empire, Los Angeles Guerrillas, London Royal Ravens, New York Subliners, Toronto Ultra and FaZe’s arch-rivals, OpTic Gaming Los Angeles.
