Since the change in 2021 to a three split per season system for the Rocket League Championship Series, we now get a Major at the end of the Fall, Winter and Spring Splits. During the seasonal Splits and the Majors, every team that participates will earn RLCS Circuit Ranking Points to determine whether they qualify for the World Championship at the end of the season.

At the Spring Split Major in Boston, United States of America, there will be 15 countries represented, with the usual dominant countries of the United States of America, Australia, Brazil, England and France all having multiple representatives from different teams. Rounding out the rest of the representing countries we have; Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Morocco, Poland, Portugal.

Rocket League Spring Split Major teams

RLCS Spring Split Major Tournament Structure

All RLCS Majors follow a double elimination format with all teams starting in the Upper-Bracket and then once a team loses they then drop down into the Lower-Bracket.

Round one and the Quarter-Finals in the Upper-Bracket and Rounds 1,2 and 3 in the Lower-Bracket are all played as best-of-five series.

Once we hit the Semi-Finals and Grand Final in the Upper-Bracket and the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals of the Lower-Bracket, they are all played a best-of-seven series.

Rocket League esports differs to every other Esport with the way their Lower and Upper Bracket system works with the Grand Final at the end of the tournament.

For the RLCS Spring Split Major Lower-Bracket qualifier to win the Grand Final they must beat the Upper-Bracket qualifier in two best-of-seven series, which is referred to as a Bracket Reset.

When is the RCLS Spring Split Major?

The RLCS Spring Split Major will take place on 6th of July, with the Grand Final set to be played on the 9th of July. The first two days of the Major are played in a studio, with only teams being in attendance. The last two days of the Major will be played at the arena with a full crowd in attendance for all of the Semi-Finals and Grand Final.
