Esportbet returns with another set of League of Legends betting tips for Friday’s European Masters bouts. Here are the best bets and top odds for Misfits Premier vs AGO Rogue, G2 Arctic vs ?AIM SE SuppUp, and Illuminar Gaming vs mousesports.

MISFITS PREMIER vs AGO ROGUE LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: Misfits $1.48 at GG Bet | AGO $2.50 at GG Bet
When: April 16, 2021 at 18:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?Stylistically these teams are very similar, as they both boast a fairly high average kill count and like to prioritise early drakes – each averaging over two per game. They’re both also relatively strong in the early-game, but it’s AGO Rogue who are more efficient in snowballing their leads into the mid/late-game.

Like AGO Rogue, Misfits Premier rely on their mid laner and ADC to do most of the heavy lifting. Since both of their key players are some of the best in their respective role, this match should prove to be a proper quality check for both sides. Misfits look slightly stronger since they field three players with previous LoL European Championship (LEC) experience, but we can’t ignore AGO Rogue’s ability to develop world-class talent.

AGO seem a bit overpriced in the head-to-head market, especially with the way they’ve been playing of late. Although they have lost a few key players during the offseason, the Rogue academy side still has the tools to defeat anyone and defend its European Masters title.

G2 ARCTIC vs ?AIM SE SUPPUP LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: G2 $1.45 at GG Bet | SSU $2.61 at GG Bet
When: April 16, 2021 at 19:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?Comparing teams from different regions is a difficult task since it is not fair to value equally each side’s results in their respective domestic competitions. Statistically, ?AIM SE SuppUp are the more efficient team in almost all metrics, and by a large margin, but they’re one of the weakest teams at the tournament in terms of individual talent.

SSU are very aggressive in the early-game with the highest first-X rates for six out of seven objectives: Turret (85.1%), Rift Herald (76.1%), Dragon (66.6%), Dragon Soul (87.50%), Baron (78.95%), and Elder Drake (100%). They are also extremely effective in gaining pre-15 gold leads (80.95%), which increase four-fold by the 20-minute mark.

With those stats, SSU should prove to be a tough stylistic opponent for G2 Arctic, who aren’t very efficient in gaining gold advantages; however, that’s where the individual quality tips the scale. We don’t expect SSU to win, but there is good value in the first blood market.

SSU claim first blood in 61.8% of their games, whereas G2 manage the same in only 37.93% of their bouts. G2 might have the stronger squad, but that won’t save them from SSU’s early aggression.

ILLUMINAR GAMING vs MOUSESPORTS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: Illuminar $1.45 at GG Bet | mouz $2.61 at GG Bet
When: April 16, 2021 at 20:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?Mousesports are the strongest team of Group C, whereas Illuminar Gaming are not even expected to finish inside the top two. The gap between these two sides is clear as mouz field some of the best players in the tournament, including Adam “LIDER” Ilyasov, who is widely regarded as one of the best European mid laners that have yet to get their chance in the LEC.

What makes this match very one-sided is not only the quality gap, but also Illuminar’s weak early game. While mousesports average the highest GD@10 (+929.54) and GD@10 (+1685.46) numbers in Group C, Illuminar’s marks (-36.78 GD@10, +381.42 GD@15) are some of the lowest.

Illuminar have done well enough to secure their spot at the European Masters, but they’re clearly not cut out to challenge mousesports. Look for mousesports to cover the kill line with ease.

BT EXCEL vs KARMINE CORP LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: BT $2.33 at GG Bet | KC $1.55 at GG Bet
When: April 15, 2021 at 16:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?BT Excel emerged as the strongest team in the 2021 Northern LoL Championship (NLC), largely due to their incredible early-game power. The British esports organisation have averaged +3704 GD@15 and 1985 GPM, which are some of the highest marks at EUM.

Karmine Corp did well enough in their domestic league last split, but their early-game numbers (+1378 GD@15, +1887 GPM) were not nearly as impressive as BT’s. That said, the French side have proven to be far more effective in the mid/late-game with a rating of 7.6 compared to BT’s 6.6.

This game can go either way depending on which side manages to play around their strengths. Although Karmine Corp should be favoured if it goes deep into the late-game, BT’s early-game numbers are way too good for us to believe the French side will have a chance to show their prowess at the death.

SCHALKE 04 EVOLUTION vs CREAM REAL BETIS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: S04 $2.01 at GG Bet | Betis $1.73 at GG Bet
When: April 15, 2021 at 17:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?Even though Schalke 04 Evolution boast a +1383 GD@15, we have to note that their domestic league is very top-heavy, so that number is a bit misleading. Regardless, the Germans’ early-game rating of 64.6 is still much higher than Cream Real Betis’ 41.1 – the worst out of all teams at the European Masters.

Even though we don’t expect S04 to win the trophy, their early-game numbers are good enough for us to believe they can defeat Betis on Wednesday – even though their mid/late-game rating of -14.6 is significantly lower than the Spanish side’s 16.8.

For S04 to win this bout, they need to speed up the match and close it out before the 30-minute mark, at which point Betis should enter their comfort zone. Mario “Motroco” Martinez’s side might put up a fight, but it’s hard to trust a bad early-game team in the current meta.

G2 ARCTIC vs AGO ROGUE LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: G2 $2.33 at GG Bet | AGO $1.55 at GG Bet
When: April 15, 2021 at 18:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?AGO Rogue are the most well-rounded team at the tournament, so we can’t argue with LoL esports bookmakers who have priced them as big favourites over G2 Arctic.

The reigning European Masters champions hail from a stronger region and also have an edge over G2 in both the early- and late-game stats. Rogue boast a 74 early-game rating and an 11.7 mid/late-game rating, whereas G2 are one of the weakest early-game teams (59.2) and aren’t exactly impressive in the mid/late-game (7.5) either.

The betting odds on AGO Rogue are not exactly high, but there is a good reason for that. Even at $1.55, AGO Rogue are a good bet against the SuperLiga’s third seed.

?AIM SE SUPPUP vs MISFITS PREMIER LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: SSU $5.09 at GG Bet | Misfits $1.14 at GG Bet
When: April 15, 2021 at 19:30 CEST
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

?The latest LoL betting odds on this match make a lot of sense, as ?AIM SE SuppUp come from a much weaker region. That said, there is a world where the Serbian squad can surprise Misfits Premier, solely due to their aggression.

SSU are the second-best rated early-game team (80.4) at the tournament, with some of the highest first blood (64%) and first tower (86%) rates. Misfits Premier, meanwhile, have one of the worst pre-15 minutes records in the league (58.9), but they tend to come online in the mid/late-game with a 9.5 rating.

Those numbers should be taken with a grain of salt since Misfits have had to play much stronger opponents throughout the season, whereas SSU were never properly tested in the Esports Balkan League (EBL). While we expect Misfits to secure a comfortable win and potentially fight for the European Masters title, there is some value in backing the underdogs to reach five kills first.

S2V ESPORTS VS G2 ARCTIC LEAGUE OF LEGENDS BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

S2V ESPORTS VS G2 ARCTIC SLO SPRING SEASON BETTING PREVIEW

S2V Esports and G2 Arctic will lock horns on day one of Week 5 at SuperLiga Orange (SLO) on Monday, February 17.

G2 Arctic enter Week 5 of the 2020 SLO Spring Split with a 4-4 record next to their name. While they are sitting comfortably in the middle of the standings, the expectations on Arctic are quite high given their connection to LoL European Championship juggernauts G2 Esports.

G2 Arctic won their opening SLO fixture against Movistar Riders but lost to MAD Lions Madrid, UCAM Esports Club and Vodafone Giants Spain. Luis “Aesenar” Calderón and his squad found their footing in round five when they bested eMonkeyz, to which they added a convincing win against x6tence. In last two rounds, which took place last week, G2 Arctic lost to BCN Squad and defeated Team Questo.

Since forming in January, Arctic have made only one notable roster change. Alejandro “Carbono” González Julián left the team at the start of February and joined eMonkeyz, while Nasser “Nasser” Rifai stepped up from the S2V Academy. G2 Arctic are 2-1 since Nasser’s arrival, which is a positive sign, with the new jungler averaging 3.43 KDA, 4.57 CSPM and 66.7% KPAR over those three games.

S2V Esports would have hoped for a better start of the season, seeing how they are sitting eighth in the league with a 2-6 record. While the playoffs dream is still alive for Ramón “Naruterador” Meseguer Fructuoso and company, they have a long road ahead of them.

S2V lost to MAD Lions Madrid, UCAM Esports Club and Team Questo in their opening three fixtures of the season. They managed to bounce back with two consecutive wins against BCN Squad and x6tence, but they failed to deliver against Movistar Riders, eMonkeyz and most recently against Vodafone Giants.

On a streak of three consecutive defeats, it is hard to be overly optimistic about S2V’s chances to upset G2 Arctic – especially if we take into account that two of their former members, óscar “Oscarinin” Mu?oz and Sergio “FeeNiixZ” García, are now playing for Arctic.

S2V ESPORTS VS G2 ARCTIC SLO SPRING SEASON BETTING PREDICTIONS

Neither of the sides have impressed with their performances this split, yet it is safe to say S2V are in a much worse position than their adversaries. The only two teams they have managed to defeat are BNC Squad and x6tence, who can hardly be regarded among the strongest Spanish squads. What’s more, S2V lost to eMonkeyz, who are arguably the weakest team in the league.

G2 Arctic have improved since they signed Nasser, and while his arrival alone will not be enough to catapult them to the top of the league standings, it is safe to assume this squad will be competitive throughout the split.

As a best-of-one (Bo1) fixture, an upset is not entirely out of the question. In most cases, unexpected results in LoL esports come after the underdogs out-draft their opponents, but we don’t believe that will happen here.

S2V have not shown anything that would make us believe they can cause problems for G2 Arctic. What’s more, Arctic have two former S2V members in their ranks, and that alone should give them an edge. Furthermore, S2V’s top laner Markus “Acidy” K?pp and jungler óscar “Nyx” Ruiz Vargas are two of the worst performing players in the league.

]]>
G2 Esports and Arctic Gaming have joined forces to establish G2 Esports’ first official League of Legends Academy team, as announced this Friday on G2 Esports’ official website. The team will operate from Spain, where it will compete in the 2020 Spanish Superliga Orange.

The newly established Academy team will be managed by the former Arctic Gaming organization, but it will receive backing from the established G2 Esports brand, who have decided to expand their name into Spain, where the organization initially operated from, before moving to Berlin, Germany where their LoL team competes in LEC.

In addition to the exciting announcement, G2 Esports also took this opportunity to introduce a unique partnership with Chips Ahoy!, which is a brand of the Spain-based Mondelez Group – one of the world largest snacks companies. Chips Ahoy! has also been announced as the academy team’s new main sponsor which will mark the first entrance of Mondelez Group into the esports scene, paving the way for more opportunities for non-endemic partnerships in esports. As a part of a new sponsorship, G2 promised fresh content, fun experiences and cool interactions for their Spanish esports fans who will get a chance to cheer for G2 Arctic in 2020 SOO while nibbling on the Chips Ahoy! snacks.

G2 Arctic announced their partnership with G2 and Chips Ahoy! with a short video on their official Twitter account, featuring their members as well as the organization’s CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago.

Arctic Gaming is an esports organization from Granada, Spain, which was founded in 2016. The team fielded teams in various esports titles, including Call of Duty, Overwatch, CS:GO, Pro Evolution Soccer, Hearthstone and League of Legends. The team prides itself with participating in the best video game competitions nationwide and have since January 2019 been present at the highest Mexican League of Legends national leagues under the banner Arctic Gaming Mexico.

Their Spanish League of Legends team, on the other side, has been involved in the competitive LoL scene since 2017 when they joined Season 12 of LVP Segunda División, where Arctic finished at seventh place. The team’s biggest achievement so far came in December 2017, when they won the regular season of Segunda División Season 13 and finished second in the playoffs.

The same month, the team disbanded and remained out of the LoL scene up until October 18, 2019, when they took over the spot at Iberian Cup 2019 from IKE Team. Team Arctic finished the Iberian Cup 2019 at the 13th-16th place, which is also their only achievement since they returned to the league. On November 19, Arctic released their roster of Sergi “Simpy” Ruiz, Gustav “Bushy” Schwerdfeger, Dimitris “Von” Bakiris, Víctor “Vixzy” Solanas and Antoine “Ushuala” Debuire, ultimately disbanding the team for the second time.

Due to the organization’s decision to release their entire roster, G2 Arctic are now without a single player in their team, meaning they have a lot of work on their hands as they need to sign a complete roster before 2020 SOO Spring Split kicks off later this month.

As of today, there were no announcements whether G2 Artic will look to re-sign any of the departed players and even if they decide to do so, they will not be able to count on Von and Simpy who have already found new homes in We Love Gaming and Aris Esports respectively.

Nonetheless, we can expect G2 Artic to find players willing to join them in no time, partially because they have become a part of the G2 Esports brand. That alone will make G2 Arctic a very appealing destination for many young LoL talents, who will look to prove themselves in a bid to one day get a chance to play for G2 in the LEC.
